Then I submit it to my favorite article directories, then that article will drive traffic to my web site for years to come.
You need hundreds of articles to make this strategy work though and many
people do not get significant results after writing one article and give up.
Also make sure that you have the keywords that you are targeting in the title and at least three times in the body.

Reciprocal linking can be very effective in driving traffic to your web site. Search for other web sites related to your niche not competing directly with you and email them asking to exchange links with you. I suggest you put their link up first and check in a few weeks to make sure that they have linked back to you.
